Our History

Established in 1999 by Chris Smellie BSc (Hons) MCP and Chris Savage BA (Hons) MSCE ACT to deliver high level IT solutions to small and medium sized organisations. Since this time Smellie Savage has continued to expand with particular emphasis with the voluntary sector and to include hosted solutions as well as onsite support, practical consultancy, and VOIP. In 2005, Chris Savage went on to launch award winning Infotech Direct Ltd specialising in Primary School IT Support, and Sarah Smellie was appointed as Director in addition to the role as Company Secretary. Although Chris Savage no longer has any direct role within the business, he and Chris continue to share ideas and friendship as well as the company name.

Voluntary Sector

We appreciate the huge benefit the voluntary sector gives to our society. We have a significant charity client base and discounts are provided for registered charities. In addition Smellie Savage supports Operation Orphan, their vision is to improve the quality of life for orphans and vulnerable children in a holistic, culturally relevant and sustainable way. Smellie Savage assists Operation Orphan by giving time and offering storage space for clothing.
